The Anthropocene (n): is a unit of geologic time, like the Holocene, used to describe the most recent period in Earth's history when human activity has started to have a significant negative impact on the planet's climate and ecosystems,.
“Making it in the Anthropocene” is two-day gathering of 200+ changemakers, creatives, and leaders exploring what it means to build, live, & lead in an era defined by climate change.
If every thing, every one is made in the Anthropocene, what does it mean to actually “make it in the Anthropocene”? Join our event to find out.

the agenda
making it in Anthropocene event agenda
presenters will cover four tracks:
-

-
As old systems break down, we must reimagine what “work” means—and who it serves. This track investigates how to build livelihoods rooted in purpose, creativity, and climate-conscious practice - while also building for diversification and risk mitigation.
-
In a time of compounding crises, resilience is more than bouncing back—it’s learning to bend, adapt, and build anew. It is the recognition that things will only get more complicated, more challenging. This track focuses on personal, community, and systemic resilience in the face of ongoing disruption.
-
What does it really mean to “make it” in this geological era? And when we say make it, that doesn’t mean just humans - it means species - plural. This track asks the big questions—of success, survival, belonging, and legacy—and invites participants to explore the values, skills, and mindsets needed for the road ahead.

announcing
We will be announcing some big
(and small) things...
01. Is it possible to use AI for good?
We are about to find out. During the event we’ll announce and go live with we’ve been working on at the intersection of climate and ai.
02. A new path forward.
Not another thing but another way forward, a new guiding system for navigating life and work. A new operating system.
Why this? Why now?
It has become clear we need an entirely new way of moving through life. A new era of being + doing.
One that recognizes not only our geological time, but enables us to align our work, lives, and very being with the natural world, with deeper meaning.
And what’s at stake?
Not only our way of being, but our future is at stake. Our children’s future is at stake.
We’ve lost 69% of global wildlife populations since 1970.
75% of earth’s land has been degraded or reshaped by humans.
In 2023, over 100 million people were forcibly displaced worldwide due to climate change. By 2025, that number could reach 1 billion, or 1 in every 8 people globally.
Only 3% of earth’s ecosystems remain undisturbed by human activity.
Over 50% of all carbon emissions in human history have been released in the last 30 years.
but we know these things….
With our m.i.a. event
We are discovering a new way of being + doing in an era marked by climate change.
Re-discovering what it means to be a parent, a son/daughter, an employee, a changemaker to ensure we make it in the Anthropocene.
Aligning our livelihoods with positive impact today, while creating diversification and risk reduction for tomorrow.
And Learning how to build resiliency in our personal and professional lives, together.
Through keynote presentations, fireside chats, networking, and interactive sessions.
